Our New Lead Dev! Bane, Tucker Bane.
Updated: Feb 16
Hello everyone! It has been some time since I last posted here, but do not fret! Leviathans: Armored Skies is still very much alive and motoring along in development. We’ll be releasing a 2021 update here soon, letting you in on everything happening at Seismic Squirrel, but we’re not quite ready for that. So instead, we thought we’d introduce the newest member of our team!
Ya, so we sniped him away from Billy...
Tucker Bane (allegedly no relation to the supervillain or the Sith lord) recently joined our team as our Lead Programmer after leaving his position at Microsoft where he worked on Minecraft and PowerApps. Whether he left to avoid the mandated worship sessions of Bill Gates or he simply preferred working under the banner of an anthropomorphized earthquake-causing squirrel is still unclear, but regardless, he has been an amazing addition to the team.
Our New Comrade
Beyond his experience at Micrsoft and a DigiPen education, Mr. Bane brings his love for Maths, a strong aptitude for DMing, and a love for the industry. Video games are puzzles at their core, programming and design problems that are constantly changing. More than anything, these fascinating puzzles are what drives Tucker’s passion to create. But there is more to making games than knowing binary, and Tucker has shown himself a great addition to the team through fun conversations about board games, fantasy books, and a web novel he’s a fan of called Shade Touched that explores the intersection of race, hard magic systems, and wizarding animals.
Like the rest of us, he is heartily pouring a mountain of excitement into the Leviathans: Armored Skies project, focusing at the moment on keeping the AI out of all the darned clouds. I hope that I can show you what he has been working on quite soon, so make sure you follow our newsletter and our Facebook page for the coming major update!
